We are a religious congregation. Our missionary aim is: “The advent of God in every poor place”…
We are born in Calabria from the Bishop of Bova, Mons. Giuseppe Cognata. We devote ourselves to children education in primary school and to the youth training concerning catechism. Collaborating with the priests, we deal with the assistance of young people.
We carry out our apostolic action, serving the local Church in small towns. Our apostolate is humble, moderate, firm and diffused among adults, above all student’s families. Our apostolate is not noisy, but it works in a silent way.
“ To pick up fragments, so that nothing gets lost”
This is our specific aim. Our saying is “Caritas Christi urget nos” (The Charity of Christ drives us).
This saying was considered our Founder’s program for his pastoral functions. As nuns, we ask to God to give us the strength and the capacity to keep this saying in mind, in hearth and in the apostolic works.
Our charisma is the active attendance to the Jesus’s voluntary offer to be crucified in order to save and consecrate the world.
This oblation, lived loving God and the neighbour, distinguishes itself for a thing: the being Salesian.
In fact, although the institute has its proper features, it can feel the effects of the Salesian pastoral, but it distinguishes by its attitude. Mons. Cognata is an example of this because he has borne to be calumniated at the Vatican for 32 years serenely and with a silent oblation.
The oblation’s charisma is born of the Eucharistic sacrifice. From this sacrifice it runs out to the light of Christ that is sacrificed for the Father’s glory and the mankind’s freedom. (..Congregation’s history)
